1. Introduction

Rapid Planner is an Electronic Flight Bag (EFB) application developed and supported by Aeromedical Australia Pty Ltd for authorised aviation organisations.

This Privacy Policy explains how Rapid Planner collects, stores and processes information when the application is used. It also describes the responsibilities of Aeromedical Australia and the organisations using the software.

3. Intended Use

Rapid Planner is designed for operational aviation use by authorised organisations.

The application supports helicopter mission planning and operational decision support, including aircraft and crew management, weight and balance calculations, aircraft performance planning, operational risk assessment and mission documentation.

Rapid Planner is distributed as a private application through Apple Business Manager and is not intended for general public use.

4. Information We Collect

Depending on how your organisation uses Rapid Planner, the application may store information including:

User Information

  • User email address

  • Authentication information

  • Operator profile

  • User role and permissions

Operational Information

  • Mission details

  • Flight planning information

  • Aircraft information

  • Crew information

  • Weight and balance calculations

  • Performance calculations

  • Environmental data

  • Operational risk assessments

  • Flight log information

  • Operational notes

  • Electronic certifications and signatures

Reference Information

Rapid Planner may also store operational reference information supplied by your organisation, including aircraft configuration data, performance planning, bases, helipad information, operational templates and other supporting reference material.

5. How Information Is Used

Information stored within Rapid Planner is used solely to support operational planning and mission management.

Examples include:

  • authenticating authorised users

  • planning aviation missions

  • generating operational calculations

  • recording operational information

  • synchronising authorised data between approved devices

  • improving the reliability and functionality of the application

Aeromedical Australia does not use operational information for advertising or marketing purposes.

Rapid Planner does not use advertising identifiers, does not track users across apps or websites, and does not display third-party advertising.

6. Third-Party Services

Rapid Planner uses selected services provided by Apple and Google to support application functionality.

These services may include:

  • Firebase Authentication

  • Firebase Firestore

  • Firebase Cloud Storage

  • Apple WeatherKit

  • Apple Maps

These services are used to provide application functionality and are not used for advertising or cross-app tracking.

Please refer to the respective privacy policies of Apple and Google for further information about these services.

7. Data Ownership

Operational information entered into Rapid Planner remains the responsibility of the organisation using the software.

Aeromedical Australia provides Rapid Planner as a software platform and does not claim ownership of customer operational records, or customer provided data.

Each organisation is responsible for ensuring that information entered into Rapid Planner complies with its own operational procedures, regulatory obligations and privacy requirements.

8. Data Security

Rapid Planner uses industry-standard security measures to protect information.

These include secure user authentication, encrypted communications and controlled access to operational data.

Access to operational information is limited to authorised users within the customer organisation in accordance with the permissions configured by that organisation.

9. Data Retention

Operational information is retained in accordance with the configuration and operational requirements of the customer organisation.

Archived mission information may be retained for operational or regulatory purposes.

Organisations are responsible for determining appropriate retention periods for their operational records.

10. Information Sharing

Aeromedical Australia does not sell customer information.

Operational information is not shared with third parties except where required to provide the functionality of Rapid Planner or where required by law.

11. Your Organisation's Responsibilities

Each organisation using Rapid Planner is responsible for:

  • managing user access

  • maintaining appropriate operational procedures

  • ensuring information entered into the application is accurate

  • complying with applicable aviation and privacy legislation

12. Australian Privacy

Aeromedical Australia Pty Ltd is committed to protecting personal information and handling it responsibly.

Where Aeromedical Australia collects or processes personal information in connection with Rapid Planner, we aim to do so in accordance with applicable Australian privacy laws, including the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), where they apply.

As Rapid Planner is provided to organisations as a software platform, the organisation using the application is generally responsible for determining what operational and personal information is entered into the system and for ensuring that its use complies with applicable privacy, employment and aviation requirements.
